Good times in the queue…
Scenes reminiscent of Heathrow T5 opening day at the entrance to the Cannon Bridge Roof Gardens this week. Ok so that’s a total exaggeration but someone should have made sure those Oyster Summer Party organisers gave guests their e-tickets to prevent the 20-minute-long queue to register. We event types love a good moan when forced to queue. Still, it wasn’t all bad though – I had a good old catch up with my pals at The Finishing Touch who I spotted in the crowd. Good to see the rain didn’t deter hundreds of party-goers who were lured in by the promise of 21 different kinds of food, drink and entertainment showcasing the finest that the Oysters’ had to offer. Loved the Aussies’ mini pies…. And so did the Confex ladies, who I found tucking into the Australasian delicacies round the corner, out of sight. Looking forward to the next Oyster party…and next time I will be sure to wear my elastic-waisted jeans so as to make the most of all those tasty treats.
