On
boarding the plane to Hyderabad at the end of October, I found myself in the
company of the UK & Ireland Chapter from the International Congress &
Convention Association, all of us heading to India for the 49th
annual ICCA Congress.
This week, the cream of the corporate world
were exposed to the horror that is Conference Boy’s golf swing. The FT Business
Championship at Monte Da Quinta Hotel, an event organised by ISM, was the scene
of the crime and, having barely used a wood club in his life, it was no
surprise when his first shot went 200 yards in the wrong direction.

Boy and Incentive Girl have just swaggered through another week of industry events, kicking off with Incentive Girl’s trip to Paris for the Canon Expo, an extravaganza of imaging kit that showed off the catering wizardry of our Gallic neighbours.
Spas, horse-riding, fine foods and plenty of gin and tonics doth a fine day and night maketh, as Conference Boy, Incentive Girl and a host of special guests discovered on Monday, after C&IT’s Client Day was celebrated in rip-roaring style.
The C&IT
news desk is still buzzing this morning, due in equal part to excitement and alcoholic
side effects, after a successful Hot List Party at the fabulous River Room at
Altitude 360.
